Problems with subwoofer?
I have a 12" solo baric kicker sub that I took out of my car for the winter, and I'm trying to hook it up to my computer. I followed this tutorial: http://www.ehow.com/how_4448174_subwoofer-computer-home-theater-system.html I had an old power supply laying around, so I used it but it doesn't have an on or off switch. When I plugged it in nothing happened, but when I plugged it in and started the computer, I saw the fan spin for a brief moment. I also have a speaker to RCA cable, to plug into the speaker port, but how can I have both my speakers and sub going at the same time? :S I really need help, because the fan isnt spinning, and i've checked all connections and everything.
now, if I screw around with the paperclip from the tutorial, it works for a few seconds, gets REALLY LOUD then cuts out?
I've got it to play constantly now, but how can I make it so the speakers are hooked up too, so I can actually hear the lyrics?
id say ur power supply aint producing enough juice so ur amps going out on safety mode
the other thing id recommend is look at pa or dj equipment, theres heaps of cheap multi chan amps that are made for 110 or 240v or what ever of the grid power you have in your city
best bit about the dj amps is that there all have fully adjustable gains and mixing settings to keep your sound nice and clear
