which audio connection should i use with a Home Theater system?
should i use the regular analog audio connection or the optical digital audio when connecting it to the TV?
note: i have an optical connection on my hdtv and one on the Home theater I just purchased. I also have the basic analog connections. I haven’t purchased the cables yet. thanks!
i guess what i’m asking is if I’ll hear a difference. I do have some audio cables somewhere, but I’ll go with the optical if it sounds better.
Use the optical if you are sending audio to a surround sound receiver. Either is fine if you are hooking your source to the tv as you will only get 2-channel stereo.
