Can't get sound from TV to Sony Receiver System speakers?
I have a Toshiba Cinema HD TV connected to a Sony DVD HDMI Theater System. Having problems getting sound from TV thru to receiver speakers. Is it necessary to connect HDMI cableto the TV? The TV does not have an HDMI input.
Provided that you're going from the audio out on the TV to the audio in on the receiver, you might need to just go into the TV's menu and set those speakers to off. Then it should just run through the speaker system as normal.
