What kind of computer do you recommend?
All I need is the tower. My monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, etc all work, but my current computer has been infected with a virus and since it's old I'm thinking this is a good enough excuse to get a new desktop computer. Here's what I need:
- Low-ish price. I think $500 would be my absolute max when it comes to buying a computer.
- Wireless networking - we have a wireless router for our internet in the house.
- Decent speed
- Doesn't need a lot of storage space -- just enough to run basic programs like MS Office, etc. I have an external hard drive that I store all of my files on.
- I'd like for it to have a CD/DVD burner but that's not necessary.
I don't do much with a computer. I do homework and I spend entirely too much time online on Yahoo! Answers and Facebook.
So... suggestions?
How is a mac mini within price range? They start at $700...
I'd suggest spending a bit extra to get the mac mini will be worth it though. Would last a long time and no worrying about viruses or using up power (which cheap systems don't have) on bloated anti-virus programs.
