Why there are no subtitles when I watch video through my LCD TV?
I have a Samsung LCD TV, full hd, 40 inches, with multiple usb ports. It can read video and music files. I just downloaded an hd video file (anime, already with subtitles) so I wanted to watch it through my TV. The file is an MKV type. The tv successfully reads audio and video, but it won´t show the subtitles. What could be happening?
do not expect your Samsung LCD TV will support all types of mkv videos. Some of mkv video's subtitle only available for Streaming Player, like VLC.
Solution 1: add proper subtitle onto your mkv video by handbrake:

Possible solution 2: make these soft subtitles fixed by a video conversion:
For instance, Convert MKV to MP4 video, you can still keep HD H.264 video with surround sound AAC audio and can also include advanced cinematic extras such as multiple audio tracks (e.g. director's commentary), multilingual subtitles (one of them which you want).
